I am a local graduate of Dunnellon High School. I have a bachelor’s degree, as well as a master’s degree in criminal justice. I served in Law Enforcement for 19 years, retiring in 2017 from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
After retirement, I founded Community and Career Solutions, a local nonprofit helping individuals with disabilities find and retain employment. It was here that I realized many of these individuals did not possess driver’s licenses, so I founded North Central Florida Driving Academy LLC in 2020 to assist these individuals. Through recommendations and referrals from our customers, we now serve all individuals through multiple locations.
In addition to being a state-certified driving instructor, I am also a state-certified employment specialist through the Florida Department of Education’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, where I am certified to work with individuals with disabilities and have an advanced certification to work with individuals with severe disabilities.
